Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Akari Media collects when you visit this website, book a shoot or ask for a quote, and how that information is used. Akari Media is a real estate photography business in central New Jersey. Contact details are at the end of this page.
Information you give me
- Bookings. Your name, email, phone number, brokerage, the property address, square footage, whether the home is occupied, access details such as a lockbox location or code, the listing date and any notes you add.
- Payments. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and are never stored on this website or seen by me. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to the payment itself.
- Quote requests and email. Whatever you include in the custom quote form or in messages you send me.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. The booking form and payment step may set cookies that are needed for them to work and to prevent fraud. This site does not use advertising cookies. The sample 3D tour is hosted by Zillow and loads only if you start it; from then on, Zillow’s privacy policy applies to the tour.
How the information is used
- To schedule, prepare for and carry out your shoot, and to deliver your photos.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders and updates by email or text message.
- To take payment and keep business and tax records.
- To answer questions and quote requests.
I do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Who else handles it
A small number of service providers process information on my behalf: the website host, the Amelia booking system, Stripe for payments, Google Calendar for scheduling, and the email and text-message services used for notifications. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
Access codes and property details
Lockbox codes and access instructions are used only to get into the property for the booked shoot and are deleted from the booking after the shoot is complete.
How long information is kept
Booking and payment records are kept for as long as needed for business, tax and legal purposes. Quote requests that do not turn into bookings are deleted after 12 months.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you, and you can opt out of reminder texts at any time by replying STOP. To make a request, use the contact details below.
Children
This website is for businesses and adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
