Photo Licensing
Akari Media keeps the copyright in every photograph, video, tour and floor plan it produces. When you book and pay, you receive a license to use that media as described below.
Listing agents and brokerages
- Use the media to market the photographed property for as long as you represent it: MLS, Zillow and other listing sites, social media, email, print, signage and your own website.
- After the sale, keep using the media in your own portfolio and “recently sold” marketing.
- Uploading to an MLS also gives that MLS the rights its rules require.
Homeowners selling by owner
Use the media to market your home for sale or rent, and keep it for personal use.
Builders and developers
Use the media to market the photographed home and the community it is in, including on your website and in sales materials.
Short-term rental hosts
Use the media on Airbnb, Vrbo, your direct booking site and social media for as long as you host the photographed property.
What needs permission first
- Selling, sublicensing or giving the media to anyone else, including a new listing agent, another brokerage, the buyer, architects, designers, stagers or product suppliers.
- Use in magazines, awards, advertising for products or brands, or any publication not about selling or renting the property.
- Editing that changes the property’s features or condition, beyond cropping and resizing.
Licenses for these uses are usually available and quick to arrange. Just ask.
